Installing a Krypt Pro2 T‑Top is one of the best upgrades for boat owners who want shade, durability, and a professional look. This step‑by‑step T‑Top installation guide makes the process simple, even for DIY enthusiasts. The Krypt Pro2 features sturdy side frames, a folding canopy design, and marine‑grade hardware engineered for long‑lasting performance on the water.

The installation begins with positioning the side sections evenly on the deck and marking the mounting feet. Stand‑offs provide extra support between the console and lower frame, ensuring stability during rough conditions. Once the boat T‑Top sides are assembled, the canopy frame is attached and aligned to match the marked width. Drilling pilot holes, countersinking the gelcoat, and applying marine‑grade sealant are essential steps to prevent stress cracks and water intrusion.

Finally, the canvas is secured with zip ties and laced tightly to create tension across the frame. The result is a sleek, functional marine canopy installation that enhances comfort and style. Whether you’re fishing, cruising, or enjoying watersports, the Krypt Pro2 T‑Top delivers reliable shade and protection. With proper installation, your boat gains a professional upgrade designed for performance and convenience.

  • The canopy frame has three sections (front, middle, rear) that fold for storage.

  • Apply grease to bolts before tightening.

  • Use masking tape when marking positions to avoid damaging the deck.

Step-by-Step Installation

Step 1: Position Side Sections

  • Place the lower halves of the side frames on the deck.

  • Ensure equal distance from the boat’s sides and aft.

  • Plan stand-off placement (between console and lower frame).

    • Recommended distance: 1–7 inches from console.

    • One stand-off per side.

Step 2: Mark Mounting Feet

  • Use masking tape on the deck.

  • Mark foot positions with a marker.

Step 3: Assemble Side Frames

  • Connect port and starboard side frames.

  • Use threadlocker on bolts.

Step 4: Assemble Canopy Frame

  • Connect front top section (port + starboard).

  • Add accessory plate and middle plate.

  • Assemble rear canopy frame (port + starboard).

  • Do not connect front and rear yet.

Step 5: Measure Width

  • Measure the width between marked mounting locations.

  • Use this measurement to align canopy with side frames.

Step 6: Attach Canopy to Side Frames

  • Assemble canopy to side frames on land.

  • Walk the assembly onto the boat and place in marked location.

  • If clamps are tight:

    1. Thread one bolt first, then add others before tightening.

    2. Cut rubber insert in half if needed.

    3. Use longer bolt temporarily to close clamp, then replace.

Step 7: Position Assembly

  • Lower T-Top assembly over console.

  • Align mounting feet with marked locations.

Step 8: Drill Pilot Holes

  • Drill small pilot holes through gelcoat/fiberglass.

  • Remove assembly and enlarge holes to 0.15" diameter.

  • Countersink gelcoat to prevent cracking.

Step 9: Seal & Fasten

  • Remove masking tape.

  • Apply marine-grade sealant (e.g., 3M 5200).

  • Lower T-Top into place.

  • Install screws and tighten mounting feet.

  • Wipe away excess sealant.

Step 10: Connect Rear Frame

  • Mount rear canopy section to middle section.

Step 11: Install Canvas

  • Place canvas over frame.

  • Use threadlocker on bolts.

Step 12: Secure Canvas

  • Use zip ties in corners to create tension.

  • Lace canvas to frame.

Step 13: Finish Lacing

  • Tie knots at each end of cord to secure.

Final Check

  • Ensure all bolts are tightened.

  • Verify stand-offs are secure.

  • Test folding mechanism.
